As your location's designated safety champion, you will build relationships, influence positive change, and contribute to our pledge of creating Earth's Safest Place to Work.Core Impact Areas:Safety Program Excellence & Implementation: Drive safety programs using data-driven strategies, conduct daily audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments, and deliver engaging safety training to build a proactive safety culture.Associate Advocacy & Cultural Leadership: Serve as a trusted advisor for employee wellbeing, fostering a culture where safety is prioritized. Develop strong relationships with staff and leadership to promote best practices.Additional Job Elements:Lifting up to 49 pounds and frequently performing tasks such as pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching.Standing/walking for up to 10-12 hours during shifts.Working in environments with varying noise levels and temperatures.Climbing and descending stairs as required.Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights, holidays, and weekends.Location and Placement:This role will start between January 2026 and September 2026, and will be based in a fulfillment center, sort center, delivery station, or other building within the Amazon Fulfillment Network.Key Responsibilities:Coordinating and implementing all aspects of Amazon's Safety Program.Identifying compliance issues and safety risks through regular audits and informing management.Facilitating incident investigations and maintaining compliance paperwork.Conducting risk assessments related to jobs.Timely recording of safety incident information in databases.Innovating process improvements and managing actions through to completion.Training and assisting team members in safety tasks.Basic Qualifications:A bachelor's or master's degree with all requirements completed between May 2024 and August 2026.Preferred Qualifications:Working towards a degree in Health Science, Safety Engineering, Safety Management, or related fields.Interest or experience in safety-related roles.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Analytical skills with proven problem-solving abilities.Amazon is an equal opportunity employer. The base pay ranges between $52,400 to $76,500 annually based on factors including location, experience, and skills.
