VP of Internal Systems – IT

Job Description:

• Elevate Stord's enterprise systems and IT function for a scaled, rapidly growing commerce-enablement and fulfillment company
• Own strategy, architecture, and roadmap for CRM, ERP, HRIS, CLM, Procurement, and Customer Success platforms
• Define integration and data-flow decisions, ownership models, architecture documentation, and business-impact prioritization
• Govern master data for customers, vendors, products, locations, and employees
• Establish data-quality frameworks and ensure canonical metrics are captured consistently in source systems
• Identify and rebuild high-friction processes across Finance, People, Legal, Support, and Operations
• Lead IT strategy and operations, including identity and access management, device lifecycle, end-user support, and corporate networking
• Own physical networks and device infrastructure across fulfillment and parcel sites, including scanners, printers, Wi-Fi, switching, routing, ISP circuits, and failover
• Stand up IT for new sites and countries according to Operations timelines
• Operate endpoint, identity, and access controls to Security-defined standards
• Ensure fast, complete onboarding and offboarding
• Own company-wide SaaS administration, contracts, licensing, access, renewals, utilization, consolidation, and vendor diligence jointly with Procurement
• Manage security and compliance reviews for new tooling, including AI tools, and administer company-wide AI platforms
• Operate privacy programs including GDPR, EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework certification, records of processing, DSARs, retention schedules, and vendor DPAs until transition to GRC
• Enforce data residency, retention, deletion, access reviews, segregation of duties, and change control across business systems
• Provide audit and regulatory evidence from systems
• Drive AI adoption within IT and Business Operations and partner with other functions on AI-native processes
• Integrate acquired companies' business systems into Stord's stack and support technical and operational due diligence
• Lead and grow the IT and Enterprise Systems team, including an established Director of IT
• Report to the SVP of Product & Engineering and collaborate with senior leaders across Engineering, Data, Security, Finance, Revenue, People, Legal, and Operations

Requirements:

• 10+ years leading enterprise systems, business technology, corporate IT, or a combined function, with direct budget and hiring ownership
• Experience owning a complex multi-system business technology ecosystem end to end, including CRM, ERP, and HRIS, through a migration or consolidation
• Experience running corporate IT as a proactive function at a fast-growing company, ideally through international expansion
• Experience owning IT for distributed physical sites, including floor networking, handheld devices, and connectivity
• Experience owning a company-wide SaaS portfolio alongside Procurement, with demonstrable consolidation and savings
• Experience running or materially supporting a privacy or compliance programme, such as GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or equivalent
• Experience integrating business systems following an acquisition
• Background in technology or tech-enabled businesses
• AI adoption experience inside an operating function, measured after implementation
• Working knowledge of current AI and agentic tooling landscape
• Deep fluency in enterprise application architecture, integration patterns, and master data management
• Solid grounding in IT operations, identity management, and endpoint and access controls
• Technical credibility to evaluate integration designs and work with senior engineers and the VP of Data
• Cross-functional change management and executive communication skills
• Experience with IPO readiness, public-company operations, SOX IT general controls, international expansion, physical operations, or acquisition integration is advantageous
