Software Engineer 4 – TV Product UI
Job Description:
- Build state-of-the-art UI features on Netflix’s leading TV application for performance- and memory-constrained devices
- Collaborate with product, design, algorithm, and engineering partners to scope projects and build user experiences
- A/B test product variants with real customers
- Develop and maintain TypeScript/JavaScript code using React frameworks and Redux architecture for TV platforms
- Test features with proprietary Jest-based automation frameworks
- Write testable code and create automation to validate functionality in partnership with test engineers
- Own feature quality and deliver measurable business impact
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience working on consumer-facing products/apps
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript
- Ability to navigate different languages and technology stacks, such as Node.js and GraphQL
- Curiosity about how members use the application and eagerness to build product features
- Ability to bring unique perspectives and balanced views to collaborations
- Ability to value others’ perspectives when identifying solutions
- Strong independence and bias toward action
- Inclination for collaboration
