Remote Staff Pharmacist (Contract-to-Hire)

We are partnering with a rapidly growing pharmacy services organization that is expanding its remote pharmacy team to support increasing patient volume. This is an excellent opportunity for pharmacists seeking a fully remote position with a fast-moving organization focused on patient care and medication access.
Schedule
Available shifts include:
- 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM EST
- 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST
- 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM EST
- 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM EST
Shift preference will be discussed during the interview process. While every effort will be made to accommodate preferred schedules, preferred shifts cannot be guaranteed.
Position Overview
This role is a blend of clinical patient consultations and prescription verification activities. Pharmacists will spend approximately 50% of their time conducting patient counseling and consultations and 50% performing prescription review and verification activities in a high-volume pharmacy environment.
Candidates must be comfortable speaking with patients and healthcare providers by phone, including both inbound and outbound communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient counseling and medication education by phone
- Answer questions regarding new prescriptions, refills, side effects, adherence, and proper medication use
- Review and clinically verify prescriptions for appropriateness, dosing accuracy, contraindications, and drug interactions
- Collaborate with prescribers and healthcare offices to resolve prescription-related issues
- Perform pharmacist verification of filled prescriptions prior to dispensing
- Support prescription transfers and assist in ensuring a smooth patient experience throughout the process
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacist license in good standing
- Idaho pharmacist license or willingness to obtain Idaho licensure upon offer
- Idaho licensure can typically be obtained through license transfer without requiring an MPJE examination
- Strong verbal communication and patient counseling skills
- Comfortable making and receiving patient calls throughout the day
- Tech-savvy and able to navigate multiple pharmacy systems efficiently
- New graduates are welcome to apply

Location Requirements
This is a remote opportunity for pharmacists residing throughout the United States. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain Idaho pharmacist licensure as required for the role.
