Experienced Part-Time Housekeeper / Household Assistant

Experienced recurring housekeeper / household assistant needed for a private apartment in StuyTown/Gramercy, Manhattan. This is not an entry-level role: prior professional residential cleaning or hotel housekeeping experience is required.

Schedule and pay

• $25–$35 per hour, depending on experience and references
• At least once per month, with the possibility of twice per month for a strong fit
• Must be available during weekday business hours or weekday evenings

Responsibilities will vary by visit and may include:

• Regular cleaning and tidying of the apartment
• Organizing and putting household items away
• Laundry, folding, and linens
• Rotating deep-cleaning projects, such as window sills, ceiling fans, kitchens, bathrooms, and other priority areas
• Occasional simple, healthy meal preparation or cooking; experience with Asian cooking is a plus

Requirements

• Demonstrated professional residential cleaning or hotel housekeeping experience; beginners will not be considered
• Able to understand and communicate clearly in English
• Reliable, punctual, trustworthy, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable following a checklist and discussing priorities for each visit
• Two recent household, client, or hotel references, with permission for me to contact them
• Willing to complete a brief phone or video interview
• Comfortable starting with a paid trial session while I am home
• Willing to show photo ID at the first visit; please do not send identification in advance
